Kristie’s 11-Day BODY BOOST {day two}

Welcome to DAY TWO of #kristiesbodyboost! Please remember that the daily meal plans are suggestions only. If there is a particular juice, smoothie, salad, soup, or main meal you like better, have that. This is about RAW ABUNDANCE! As long as it RAW VEGAN you can have it!

Upon rising, get in the habit of exercising before you have time to think about it. Our minds can be silly sometimes and will try to talk us out of doing this.  Daily movement suppresses the appetite, tunes us in to our bodies natural needs, and shapes us into beautiful glowing beings full of energy and happiness.  Dont’ think about it or you’ll talk yourself out of it, just DO IT!

After your daily movement, have water with lemon or a herbal tea sweetened with raw honey or stevia. Having something warm will fill you up and create peace and harmony before jumping into your first meal.

When hunger strikes make your first juice {I always recommend you fast for at least 16 hours after your last meal eaten the day prior}.

Carrot Cilantro Pear Juice

You should be full of clean energy until dinner from this point yet if you need something….have a Larabar with herbal tea.

Dinner….Herb Garden Salad

Maple Glazed Yams

Better on your body and your digestive system than heavy nut based raw dishes is to have real food that is cooked like sweet potatoes, yams, and low fat fish. Getting hung up on ‘ALL RAW’ creates a superiority complex and puts a lot of pressure on you by created rules that are sometimes unrealistic. If you’re going to have something cooked have it at night and keep it healthy.

Hot Cocoa

The Raw Cocoa does contain a small amount of caffeine so if you are sensitive to caffeine I would advise you have your cocoa earlier in the day.  A suggestion would be to swap out your after tea with the cocoa.

Kristie’s 11-Day BODY BOOST {day one}!

Hey You RAWsome RAWKstar!!!!

Today is DAY ONE!

are you excited? I sure am…..

Almost every client in the history of my career has asked what I eat in a day.  Well, here you go.  I’m 100% raw during the day yet like a cooked meal at night on occasion.   If you had told me 16 years ago that I would one day live on a nearly all-raw plant food diet, I wouldn’t have believed it.  I was so addicted to stimulating foods, particularly bread and corn chips, that the thought of giving them up was enough to give me anxiety and make me cry.  Transitioning to an all raw diet took some effort at first yet as I started to see and feel my body change it made sticking to it easy.

Tip #1: Start each day with warm lemon water sweetened with raw  honey or stevia.   Keep yourself busy in the morning doing things you love or need to get done like daily movement (exercise).

Tip #2: Though I will be giving you a daily meal plan that doesn’t mean you have to follow it. If you’d like to keep it super simple like I do, do this every three days:

  1. Make a big batch of my Sunflower Spread.
  2. Cut up raw veggies to have on hand. Use the Sunflower Spread as a dip for veggies.
  3. Make a 64- ounce mason jar full of Green Lemonade.
  4. Make a HUGE salad and add avocado or other raw yummies with a raw dressing upon eating.
    THATS IT!!!

For those that like variety, here is your meal plan for today.

***NOTE- All recipes are in my book. You can DOWNLOAD it HERE!

Fasting for as long as possible is important in helping the body learn to listen to when true hunger strikes instead of eating out of habit.  I usually am not truly hungry until around 3pm.  At this time I will have a freshly made juice.

Spring Time

First thing in the stomach. 🙂 I prefer green juices over fruit juices as I seem to respond better to less sugar. This will take me through to my next meal which is always a salad.

Fall SaladWith a salad I will have a raw soup or herbal tea. I find this helps to fill me up leaving me satisfied and energized until dinner time.

Corn Chowder

Cabbage Wrap

A light dinner is easy to have when you know dessert is on the menu. 🙂 I’ve been known to have 5-6 wraps! Don’t be afraid to over eat on foods like this. In the beginning, over eating on salads is a natural part in helping to break food addictions.

Raw Chocolate Pudding

Not only is this delicious treat filling and fun its highly nutritious as well. 🙂 Enjoy it!

Tip #3: I like to end my day with herbal tea, a hot bath, and some down time with my husband.  End your day away from the kitchen and focus on the things that are important to you outside of food.

Kristie’s 11-Day BODY BOOST! {day five}

Welcome to Day Five!

You’ve most likely heard some talk about alkaline foods and how important they are in keeping us healthy.   Yet, do you know why? The PH in our bodies will always stay around 7.36. If we eat something that is acidic our body will compensate by pulling alkaline stored in our body.  In most cases this is taken from our bones. It will also use our fat storage as a buffer and store the excess acid there.  Contributors of acid in the body come from stress, anger, processed meats, pasteurized cheese and milk, breads, energy drinks, soda, cigarettes, coffee, and alcohol. This creates an environment of illness, dis-ease, pain, and weight gain. When we become overly acidic, our bodies go into survival mode and to keep us alive will do a number of things.
1. Acids will store fat! This is one reason we can cut calories, feed on “diet” foods, work out religiously, and STILL not LOSE WEIGHT! Our bodies are trying to save our lives by holding onto fat.

2. Acids will draw on our alkaline reserves by going to our teeth and bones for alkaline.

3. Many people in chronic pain are highly acidic.  The excess acid aggravates pain. The only way to reduce the pain is to reduce the acid.

Make 70% of your food intake alkaline based.  If you’re highly stressed and/or hold onto a lot of anger you’ll need to increase that to 90% or even 100%.

Best Alkaline Foods:

All vegetables, especially raw green leafy vegetables.

Fresh herbs and spices: parsley, basil, cilantro, cayenne, ginger, are the best!

Sea Vegetables and algaes

All fruit, especially watermelon, avocado, cucumber, young coconuts

Grains: quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, and millet

Good Fats: cold-pressed olive oil and unrefined coconut oil

Raw unprocessed sugars like raw honey and dates.

*Note: Even though citrus fruits like lemons and grapefruits are highly acidic before entering the body, once they are digested and assimilated, they are very alkaline. 🙂

As you can see, this program is very alkaline.  All you need do is follow along and FEEL this difference to see the truth in how we should be feeding our bodies.
